Destination: Airport - Colombo Drive: Approximately 1 Hrs. (35KM)
On arrival in Sri Lanka, you will be met and assisted by Airport Representative, who will direct you to your guide who will transfer you to Colombo, a city renowned for its blend of vibrant culture, rich history, and modern attractions.
Colombo, Sri Lanka’s bustling capital has a rich history as a prominent trading hub for over 2,000 years. Its strategic location and natural harbor attracted Greek, Roman, Arab, and Chinese traders long before the colonial era. From 1505, the city fell under the rule of the Portuguese, followed by the Dutch, and later the British, who left their marks on the city’s architecture, cuisine, and culture until Sri Lanka gained independence in 1948.
Experience: City Tour of Colombo
On reaching explore the fascinating city of Colombo. Begin with a visit to Wolvendaal Church, a 260-year-old Dutch colonial structure (built in 1749), featuring historic tombstones of Dutch governors. Continue to the striking Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque, renowned for its eye-catching red and white candy-striped exterior, a key landmark in the heart of Pettah. Nearby, you'll find the Cargills Building, an impressive red-brick colonial structure that was once the premier department store during British rule and now stands as a historic landmark in Colombo Fort.
Next, stop for an external view of the Lotus Tower, Colombo’s tallest structure at 350 meters, serving as a broadcast hub and symbol of the city’s growth. Afterward, pass by the grand Colombo Town Hall, an iconic white-domed building inspired by Washington D.C.'s Capitol, which serves as the seat of the city's government.
Continue to Independence Square, where Sri Lanka declared its independence from British rule in 1948. On the way, drive through Cinnamon Gardens, a leafy, upscale neighborhood, and pass by Galle Face Green, a popular oceanfront promenade.
Take in the neoclassical exterior of the Old Parliament Building before visiting Gangaramaya Temple, one of Colombo’s most significant Buddhist temples, known for its eclectic mix of architecture and cultural importance.

After breakfast check out from the hotel and head up to Kandy, which is Sri Lanka’s second largest city and is the capital of the last Sinhalese Kingdom and enjoys a scenic setting around a lake surrounded by green hills.
Experience: Spice Garden in Mawanella
En route, stop at a Spice Garden in Mawanella. The environment possesses excellent conditions for growing cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, peppercorn, and other flavourful delights. Learn about the process of growing these natural products using ecologically friendly methods. At the end of your visit, Opportunities for the purchase of various products made with spices are available which can be either natural cosmetics or traditional herbal remedies. Once completed continue your drive to Kandy

Destination: Royal Botanical Garden
On reaching visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens where a rare collection of tropical exotic and indigenous flora including the famous Orchid House could be viewed. Surrounded on three sides by the Mahaweli River, these botanical gardens were founded in 1824 and are still home to one of world’s largest collections of plants and trees. Giant ficus trees, palms, an orchid house and a vast array of trees such as ebony, teak, satinwood, mahogany and tamarind can be seen here. The garden once reserved only for royalty and also served as a headquarters during the Second World War.
Experience: City Tour of Kandy
Afterwards commence a city tour in Kandy, Sri Lanka’s last royal capital, enjoy panoramic views from a hilltop vantage point, where the city and its lush surroundings unfold below. Take a scenic drive around Kandy Lake, (Known as the Milky Ocean), built in 1807 by the last king of Kandy as part of his royal complex. The peaceful lake and its surrounding promenade offer a tranquil setting in the heart of the city. Return to the city center, a stroll along the famous shopping streets and to points of interest such as the central market, garrison cemetery, clock tower and the historic railway station.
Experience: Temple of the tooth Relic
Thereafter visit the renowned Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), located within the former royal palace complex of Kandy. This temple houses the revered relic of the tooth of the Buddha, a symbol of great religious and political significance in Sri Lankan history. It is believed that whoever possesses the relic has the right to govern the country, making it a powerful symbol for the ancient Sinhalese kings. The temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized for its architectural splendor and historical importance.

Destination: Kandy - Sigiriya Drive: Approximately 2 ½ Hrs. (92KM)
After breakfast head to Sigiriya, a small village and a central location in Cultural Triangle. The central plains area boasts ruined temples and ancient cities combined with national parks and glistening reservoirs.
Experience: Climb Sigiriya Rock
On reaching, explore the iconic Sigiriya Rock, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka's most famous landmarks. This towering rock, a hardened magma plug of an extinct volcano, is visible for miles around. Historically, Sigiriya served both as a royal fortress built by King Kashyapa (477 - 495 AD) and as a Buddhist monastery before and after Kashyapa's reign. Its dual role as a fortress and a monastic retreat makes it a site of significant cultural and historical importance.
The climb to the top takes approximately 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on your fitness, age, and crowd levels. There are about 1,200 steps, and the effort is rewarded with stunning panoramic views and a sense of accomplishment.
Along the way, you will pass vibrant frescoes and the mirror wall before reaching the lion's paws, remnants of a grand staircase that once passed through a giant lion's mouth, which gave the rock its nickname, Lion Rock. At the summit, you’ll find the ruins of a royal citadel that once covered the 1.6-hectare plateau.

Destination: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya Drive: Approximately 3 ½ Hrs. (100KM)
After an early breakfast check out of the hotel and continue your journey to Nuwara Eliya, a picturesque town nestled in Sri Lanka’s hill country. Often referred to as “Little England” for its colonial architecture and cool climate, Nuwara Eliya is also known for its rolling tea plantations and lush landscapes.
Experience: Tea Factory and Plantation Visit
Immerse yourself in an authentic tea plucking experience, followed by a guided visit to a tea factory where some of the finest tea in the world is produced.
Sri Lanka is renowned as one of the largest tea exporters globally, with a thriving tea industry that dominates the island’s central highlands. Sri Lanka is also one of the few countries where tea is still hand-plucked, ensuring the highest quality. Skilled workers, primarily women, carefully pluck two leaves and a bud from each tea bush, planted meticulously along the contours of the hillsides. These women often cover more than 10 kilometers a day, swiftly gathering leaves to be sent to the nearby factories. Once there, the leaves are promptly dried, processed, and packed for export.
During your visit to the factory, a knowledgeable staff member will guide you through the fascinating process of tea production, including fermentation, rolling, drying, cutting, sieving, and grading. The tour concludes with the opportunity to savor a cup of freshly brewed, high-grown Ceylon tea—a true highlight of your visit.
Experience: City Tour of Nuwara Eliya
Explore the enchanting city of Nuwara Eliya, this tour takes you through the city’s key attractions, offering a unique blend of history and natural beauty.
Begin your journey with a visit to one of Sri Lanka's oldest landmarks—the Nuwara Eliya Post Office. This iconic Tudor-style building, with its distinctive red brick façade, stands as a proud remnant of the British colonial era, preserving the heritage of the town.
Next, head to Lake Gregory, a man-made marvel from the colonial days, originally created for electricity generation. Now a popular spot for leisure activities, the lake is encircled by breathtaking mountain views, offering a serene environment for a peaceful walk or boat ride.
As you explore the city, you'll also take in the stunning tea-covered hillsides that surround Nuwara Eliya, providing a beautiful contrast to the charming colonial architecture and enhancing the town's distinct character.

Destination: Ambewela -Haputale
Once completed proceed to Ambewela railway station.
Experience: Ambewela - Haputale by Train Board the train at Ambewela Railway Station, where your guide will assist you in finding your seats.
This scenic train ride from is considered one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the world. As the train winds through the central highlands, you’ll pass through dark tunnels and along narrow tracks with breathtaking views of rolling mountains draped in lush, green tea plantations. The landscape is dotted with gushing streams and cascading waterfalls, making this an unforgettable experience!
Upon arrival at Haputale, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Experience: Ella Spice Garden cooking lesson with lunch
After breakfast, proceed to Ella. On reaching, join a group session at Ella Spice Garden for the cooking lessons and garden excursion. Ella Spice Garden Cooking Lesson is a unique experience that you can enjoy while you visit Ella town.
The lunch session commences at 10:00 AM and concludes at 12:30 PM.
The program begins with a spice garden tour with an attractive explanation about the spices we use in Sri Lankan’s cousin. After tasting a taste bud awakening spice tea, we begin our Sri Lankan cooking session by cook 8 different vegan r recipes.
Make it interesting and enthusiastic by getting involved in different hands-on activities and funny competitions with other candidates. This gives you a real insight into the history of Sri Lankan cooking and the different utensils used. You will get a recipe book which you will use to write down small tips and ingredient quantities used for our cooking. Make Rice, Roti, and some mouth-watering Curries with hands-on activities for all the participants later you can enjoy the taste of Sri Lankan authentic spicy meal.
Experience: Nine Arches Bridge
Afterwards visit the famous Nine Arches Bridge in Ella, also known as the ‘Bridge in the Sky.’ This remarkable structure was built to connect two mountains during the construction of the Badulla-Colombo railway line. Spanning 300 feet in length, 25 feet in width, and standing 80-100 feet tall, it remains one of the finest examples of colonial-era railway engineering in Sri Lanka.
Commissioned by the British and completed in 1921, the Nine Arches Bridge is a testament to the architectural and engineering brilliance of the early 20th century. Located between the Ella and Demodara railway stations, the bridge offers stunning views of the surrounding lush hills and dense jungle, making it a favorite spot for both locals and travelers. Walking across the bridge, you’ll be treated to scenic panoramas that capture the essence of Sri Lanka's natural beauty.
After admiring this architectural marvel, take some time to explore the charming town of Ella with a relaxed stroll, soaking in its laid-back vibe.
Experience: Hike up Little Adams Peak
Thereafter a hike up Little Adam's Peak, the perfect spot to catch the sunset over the stunning landscapes. From the summit, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views stretching as far as Ella Rock and the Ella Gap.
Little Adam's Peak, named for its resemblance to the sacred Adam's Peak, is one of Ella’s most popular attractions. It offers a much easier and shorter climb than its larger counterpart, taking about 30-45 minutes to reach the top of the 1,141-meter peak. The hike is pleasant and well-marked, leading you through lush tea plantations with panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys, including the famous Ella Rock.
After completing your hike, return to your hotel in Haputale.

Destination: Haputale – Yala Drive: Approximately 2 ½ Hrs. (100KM)

Experience: Afternoon safari at Yala National Park
Upon arrival, embark on a thrilling jeep safari through Yala National Park, accompanied by a private tracker. Yala is the most visited and second-largest national park in Sri Lanka, located in the southeast of the island and bordered by the Indian Ocean.
Established as a wildlife sanctuary in 1900, Yala is renowned for its remarkable biodiversity and is one of Sri Lanka's premier locations for wildlife conservation. The park is famous for its thriving populations of Sri Lankan elephants, elusive leopards, and a wide variety of aquatic birds. Yala is particularly noted for having one of the highest densities of leopards in the world, making it a top destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Yala National Park is part of a larger protected area that includes six national parks and three wildlife sanctuaries, offering a range of ecosystems from moist monsoon forests to freshwater and marine wetlands. It is also recognized as one of Sri Lanka's Important Bird Areas (IBAs), with 215 recorded bird species, including six endemic to the island. The park is home to 44 species of mammals and supports a diverse array of wildlife, making every safari a unique adventure.

After breakfast check out from the hotel and head to Ambalntota.
Experience: Walawe River Jungle Boat Safari and Godawaya Prehistoric Site
On reaching explore the internationally recognized ecosystem of the Walawe River, teeming with biodiversity and breath-taking scenery. This area is close to the southern coast, making it an ideal location to learn about Sri Lanka's unique mangrove habitats.
Embark on a journey to explore the river, encounter diverse wildlife like resident sea eagles, hawks, peacocks, waterfowls, and migratory bird species. Witness the scenic beauty of the river where it meets the sea, a historically significant location that once served as an ancient naval base. Observe the fascinating shift between bats and cranes inhabiting the trees lining the river throughout the day. This nature-based activity promotes tranquility, environmental connection, and unique experiences, enhancing overall travel enjoyment.
During the boat ride visit the “Godawaya” Prehistoric Site. Godawaya is a small fishing village, which is situated near the river mouth of the Walawe River. The temple on a small rocky mountain near the left bank of the river mouth is known by many Archaeologists, historians and travellers because of its historical value.
The temple “Gotha Pabbatha Rajamaha Viharaya” believed to have been built by Regional king Gotabaya (King Kavanthissa’s father) in the 2nd century BC. Godawaya is an ancient shipping port active as far as 2nd century BC. The temple is also believed to be have been used as the administrative center of this port.
According to a Brahmini script stone inscription found in the Godawaya temple, which dates back to the era of King Gajabahu I, in the 2nd Century, the customs duties that were collected at this port were dedicated to the upkeep of the Godawaya Viharaya. This tax collection was carried out at around the same time as when the world’s first systematic tax collection law, the Palmyrene tax law (in present-day Syria), was first established. Therefore, the collection of taxes at Godawaya appears to date back to the very beginnings of customs duties in the entire world.
The distance of travel is 8 km (up and down) taking approximately 1.5-2 hours and a King coconut will be served as refreshment during the boat ride.

Destination: Ambalantota – Galle Drive: Approximately 2 Hrs. (110KM)
Once completed, head to Galle. A vibrant coastal city on Sri Lanka’s southwestern tip is best known for its well-preserved Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With colonial charm, beautiful beaches, and rich history, it’s a must-visit blend of old and new.

Upon arrival in Galle set out to explore the historic Galle Fort, a vibrant town with a rich and colorful history. Originally built by the Portuguese in the 16th century and heavily fortified by the Dutch in the 17th century, Galle Fort stands as the best-preserved example of a European-built fortified city in Asia. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a captivating glimpse into Sri Lanka’s colonial past.
As you stroll along the fort’s sturdy ramparts, you'll encounter the Galle Lighthouse, one of the fort's most iconic landmarks, and remnants of the Old Portuguese harbor. The fort is home to numerous well-preserved colonial buildings, including the Dutch Reformed Church, Anglican All Saints Church, and the Dutch Governor’s Residence, built in 1684, which now houses the luxurious Amangalla Hotel.
The fort’s narrow, winding streets are lined with charming colonial-era architecture, boutique shops, arts and crafts galleries, and cozy cafés, contributing to its unique blend of history and contemporary culture. The fort’s lively yet laid-back atmosphere is perfect for exploration, and the nearby coastline offers ruggedly beautiful beaches with secluded spots for relaxation.
